Trials events for both modern & classic motorcycles.  Torque, Torque, Torque! There’s nothing like the power of a trials bike. What a great cross trainer too! Trials is all about throttle control and balance. Fabulous spectator event!  The best part is that you need very little space to play (backyard, rock garden or your neighbours old car – just kiddin’) and because your bike is SOOOO quiet, you’ll be disturbing no one, except for maybe the owner of the car.

Mike Leggett started the 3 event mini-series in conjunction with the CMA Alberta provincial trials series in 2008.  In 2009, we had a large increase in riders coming from the enduro/off-road sector and now, for 2010, the SGC is offering a 5 event series.  Taking a look at the riders participating, it became evident that many of them had young families or also competed in the hare scrambles series.  Therefore, for 2010, 4 of the 5 events will be held on the same weekends of the hare scrambles.  We are offering the opportunity to compete in the hare scrambles on Saturday, perhaps watch your kids compete on Sunday morning and then jump on the trials bike and compete Sunday afternoon.  Now that’s the ‘full meal deal’ eh?  We are a family club and while we are serious competitors, we recognize time and other commitments.  We hope that offering events on 5 or 6 weekends through out the spring and summer will inspire you to compete in the entire series!  Heather Wall is heading the trials along with Steve Doel as course clerks and organizers.

Need a great place to practice, check out the awesome sections at Blackfoot Park in Calgary designed by club member, Steve Doel along with the help of many others.

Scoring rules and class details to follow soon.
