Settle into second gear for these off-road races
It
is the club that's too busy having fun to have meetings. Whether at
Blackfoot Motopark during the week, out in the mountains on weekends or
racing on ice in the winter, the Second Gear Club always has something
fun to offer dirtbike enthusiasts.

The club seems ready to try just about anything that involves off-roading on two wheels.
"Our
hare scrambles are really popular with families," says Rhonda Pechout,
who founded the club with husband Siggi in 2001. A hare scramble is an
off-road motocross race staged on a flagged, 12- to 16-kilometre looped
trail. The goal is to complete as many laps as possible in a given time
period, generally one or two hours. The difficulty of the race depends
